We have been watching the weather and it looks like it is improving for the weekend. So we are going to go racing for the weekend.
See you all at the track.
Setup will begin at 6 pm tonight for those that can make it to the track. Many hands makes for light work for everybody.

We wanted to advise racers of a couple of things before this weekend’s racing.
Due to recent changes in security measures and a new group running the Airport, we are not able to allow parking on the asphalt of the main apron of the Airport until after 6:00 pm on Thursday. The main apron encompasses the large paved area from the hangars to the Airport Terminal building. Pit areas that the NSDRA has created are available for parking once somebody arrives to open the gates to the Airport. Please do not park right up against the gates if you arrive early, as the gates swing out.
This going to be a busy weekend at Greenfield Dragway as we have the Atlantic Canada Stock Superstock Association, Atlantic Canada Pro-Tree and the ADRA’s Sport Compact Saturday groups all running programs on Saturday.
To that end, we are advising racers that there will be no double-dipping (aka running two classes) during the racing Saturday afternoon. We will run 1 round of the Stock/Superstock and Pro-Tree series before we begin the Gamblers races for the day. Round 1 losers of the Stock/Superstock and Pro-Tree series will be permitted to enter a Gamblers race of their choice.
The weather is looking good, so let’s have a fun and safe weekend of racing.
Over the winter months and more recently there has been a lot of media coverage about an organization called the South Shore Flying Club (SSFC) negotiating lease(s) with the Region of Queens to use/operate the South Shore Regional Airport.
There appears to be conversation(s)/rumour(s) that the NSDRA will not have a place to hold drag racing events, THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE. This agreement does not affect the NSDRA conducting drag races at the South Shore Regional Airport.
In fact, the NSDRA was negotiating with the Region of Queens at the same time to secure an agreement to conduct drag races at the South Shore Regional Airport for the same 15 year period. The negotiations between the NSDRA and the Region of Queens concluded in August 2015 and we have been waiting for the SSFC to finalize their contract.
During the month of May, we will be signing the final agreement and thus securing drag racing events at the South Shore Regional Airport for the next 15 years.

Greenfield Dragway is having a work party at the airport on Sunday May 3rd starting at 10am to get ready for the upcoming season.
We need to get everything unpacked from winter storage, get the property cleaned up from winter and get ready to go racing.
If some people could bring some bush saws out, this would be a good time to clean up some bushes for the year.
